On May 22nd, a research team from the Forest Environment Conservation group of College of Bioresource Sciences, Nihon University, led by Dr. Kazutoki Abe visit the Jixie forest ecosystem research station of Beijing Forestry University. Dr. Jianjun Zhang, an associate professor of School of Soil and Water Conservation, Beijing Forestry University, accompanies the visitors.
They visit station’s living facility, mini-weather station, main channel controlling weir, and Shidaowan run-off area. Dr. Jianjun zhang gives the detailed introduction in Japanese on history of the station, and on the operation principle and application of the observation equipments. Professor Abe is very pleased to be able to visit the station, and He thinks this is a valuable learning opportunity for him as well as his students. At Jixian station visitors see many advanced scientific equipments, impressed by rigorous scholarship of Chinese scholar, and hope there are more opportunities to visit the station.
