August 10, Professor Hassan EI Shear, deputy director of the Desert Research Center of Egypt , accompanied by professor Wenzhi Zhao, visited Linzhe inland river basin comprehensive research station.

Professor Hassan EI visited the long-term experiment and monitoring facilities, and facilities for the ongoing major research projects, and the demonstration zones of agriculture and Oasis, the transitional zone of oasis - desertification.

 Afterwards, Professor Hassan EI Shear had a discussion with station research staff and received a brief introduction on the Linzi station by Dr.Wenzhi Zhao, Chief of Linzi station, including the station history, ongoing research projects, biological elements monitoring systems, long-term ecological research facilities, recent research achievements, and progress of international cooperation and exchanges. Professor Hassan EI Shear was impressed by the station’s research foundation and capacity and research achievements, and hoped to intensify mutual collaboration.
